Indian Institution of Industrial Engineering (IIIE)

IIIE

The Indian Institution of Industrial Engineering (IIIE) is a non-profit organization established in 1957 and registered under the Society Registration Act, 1860, to propagate the profession of Industrial Engineering in India. It is also a Registered Public Trust under the Maharashtra Public Trusts Act, 1950, with its headquarters in Navi Mumbai. Notably, IIIE is an International Organization that partner with the Institute of Industrial & Systems Engineers, USA. IIIE is dedicated to the advancement of Industrial Engineering education and practice, and applying such scientific knowledge to assist in managing all endeavours. IIIE has played a significant role in recognizing and encouraging excellence in industrial engineering. To honor outstanding achievements and contributions made by individuals, the institution has instituted numerous honors and awards. Furthermore, IIIE also acknowledges organizational excellence by presenting Performance Excellence Awards for Organizations that have made significant strides in this domain.

IIIE TRIVANDRUM CHAPTER

IIIE Trivandrum Chapter was formed in 1981 by the initiative taken by Prof. S K Warriar, the then Managing Director, KSIDC, Trivandrum. The chapter was inaugurated on 30th March 1981 by Shri. P C Chacko, the then Industries Minister, Government of Kerala. The chapter has been active ever since conducting lectures, meetings, seminars, foundation day celebrations, training programmes, etc. The chapter has always been represented in the National Council. Two Student Chapters,  at the College of Engineering Trivandrum and RIT Kottayam are attached with the Trivandrum Chapter of IIIE

67ᵗʰ NATIONAL CONVENTION AND 9ᵗʰ INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE

The Indian Institution of Industrial Engineering is all set to host its 67ᵗʰ National Convention, 9ᵗʰ International Conference, and National Productivity Contest at Trivandrum, with the theme “Industry 5.0: AI-driven Industrial Engineering for Sustainability”. This Convention, along with the featured events, the Ninth International Conference and the National Productivity Contest, provides a pivotal platform for professionals, researchers, and enthusiasts in industries and practitioners of AI. The event will be hosted in the land of lush green meadows, singing streams and rivers, long and beautiful beaches, and places of worship, providing the attendees with a peaceful engagement in God’s Own Country. The technical sessions and deliberations of the event will open the windows to the latest advancements in industrial engineering practices influenced by artificial intelligence and lead to sustainability.

The Convention and the International Conference will feature enlightening sessions, thought-provoking keynote addresses, and panel discussions focusing on the impact of AI in industrial engineering practices. Participants can engage in in-depth discussions, collaborate on innovative solutions and forge new partnerships. In addition to these enlightening activities, IIIE will host a productivity contest for teams from various organizations nationwide. This contest will challenge young minds to incorporate technologies into their ideas and solutions, pushing the boundaries of productivity enhancement in every aspect of industrial activities.
